Espro French Coffee Press

If you love a good french press cup of coffee, give this product some serious consideration.  The Espro is sleek new coffee press made in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is a breakthrough in French-press brewing that lets you enjoy rich coffee flavor without any residue or grit. The beautiful double-walled stainless-steel carafe has patent-pending double micro-filters, which are 9 to 12 times as fine as standard French-press filters tha let the coffee flow through while even the finest sediment stays behind. The carafe keeps the coffee hot and fresh, while the sides stay cool to the touch.

My first pot of brew was made with Counter Culture’s organic Rustico coffee (from Atlanta, GA).  The coffee had rich notes of chocolate, fruit and nuts.  IMG_7577 IMG_7579 IMG_7580 IMG_7581 IMG_7582We got our’s from Williams Sonoma online.

Frye boots store in Boston

The origins of Frye boot company go back to 1863 when John Frye opened a small boot store in Malboro, Mass. not with a fashion bent but to serve the functional elements for the factory workers in that small New England town.  Today these high quality boots are deeply embedded in the American culture and the brand is thriving.  The Classic Gentleman’s visit to flagship store in Boston was a rewarding experience.

The space dedicated to women and gentlemen shoes and accessories is warm, inviting, spacious and even luxurious.  Rich wooden shelfs are lined with the iconic boots, bags and other leather accessories.IMG_7545

This skull studded short boot caught our eye for the novelty but we passed on the pracicality element.IMG_7548 IMG_7549

This shelf of four classic boot styles did catch our eye.  These are the Walter lace up boots with top grade full grain leather, speed hooks and a stacked leather heel.IMG_7550

We settled on the whiskey / cognac color version.  At $349 a pair, a great buy for an iconic American brand.IMG_7553

I loved my visit to the store and found an assortment of shirts, ties, shoes, belts and even funky speakers (Scout) all made proudly in the US of A!  I ended up purchasing an Armstrong and Wilson tie and a houndstooth pocket square.  Great customer service (thanks Ann-Marie) made for a great experience overall.
