Sunday, October 23rd … I was invited by my friend Navin to join the Santa Monica Bay Riders to ride through the Malibu Canyons, lunch in Oxnard and back on the Pacific Coast Highway to Santa Monica. 1o bikes, 15 riders. We met at Starbucks at 9am, for coffee, gassed up at Chevron and off we went. I rented a Honda Shadow VT-750 from Eagle Rider in Santa Monica.
Other sweet iron machines start rolling into the Starbucks parking lot shortly after 9am. Check ’em out …

And Eric’s cruiser
We took off around 9:45am through to Malibu Canyons and Mulholland Hwy … our first stop was just outside conservancy parkland. Great scenery!
Next stop … the Rock Store
The Rock Store is one of the most famous motorcyclist and biker hangouts in the world. Frequented by moto lovers as well as celebrities and people in general. It is located in the Santa Monica mountains, on Mulholland Highway (not Drive – that’s a different road). The reason that the Rock Store has become a stop for motorcyclists is because of the varied roads that snake through the hills.
With Navin, the organizer of our ride.

Lunch was at Fisherman’s Catch, a fresh affordable fish market and grill located in the Seabridge Marketplace located in Oxnard, Channel Islands. They pride themselves in serving fresh mouth-watering fish. Started by two commercial fishermen, the father son team specialize in catching fresh white sea bass, local halibut, crabs and lobsters.
