Bodyweight Work Out … Try It Before You Knock It.


Gents, it’s almost summer time.  Looking good in or out of your clothes is directly co-related to your physical attributes.  The fitter you are, the better your look in apparel!

Like these slim jeans and button down shirt … or that tailored jacket.  You get the drift.

Can you build muscle without weights?  Yes you can!  You may be interested in building muscle without weights for many reasons. Maybe it’s because you are intimidated by gyms or you lift heavy weights and want to change things up (for variety).  It is a scientific fact that real strength comes from using the whole body all at once.

So today I’m posting a full body weight workout that will challenge you.  This is courtesy of personal trainer and friend John VandenBrink of fitbodyco. personal training studio in Carlsbad, CA (http://www.fitbodyco.com/).

Here’s how it goes.  Perform these exercises as one giant circuit with no rest until you complete all reps for these 8 moves.  After you finish the circuit, rest 2 minutes and then repeat 2 more times.  No screaming for your mommy – be a man!

  • 60 Reps – Jump Rope
  • 12 T-Push ups
  • 40 Mountain Climbers (20 per leg)
  • Side, Front, Side Planks (20 seconds each)
  • 20 Jump Squats
  • 40 Step Ups (20 per leg)
  • 50 Jumping Jacks
  • 40 Jump Lunges
