Berluti’s unlined Lorenzo loafers are buttery soft, made of Kangaroo leather and have a uncoated hide that should develop a gorgeous patina that Berluti’s are famous for. Classic style … Go sockless with these. I chose the brown color to add to my collection.
Shinola’s store on Damen Avenue in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood is an absolute gem. Upon entering the store, we were warmly greeted by the sales staff and invited to peruse through their beautifully curated mostly US manufactured goods – watches, bicycles, clothing and leather goods.
Our nominal purchase of an Exto extension cord by Conway Electric came with some freebies from the staff – Mediterranean popcorn, Shinola Cola and gourmet treats for our pooch. Great service, amazing products. Thank you Shinola!

As a vinyl enthusiast I often get the question “You can still buy records? who sells them” Here is a fact – Vinyl records sales are up 745 percent since 2008! Digital music is a great advancement but if you want a holistic and immersive music experience – get a turntable and then head to Analog – a tiny little store located inside the OC Mart Mix – 3313 Hyland Ave, Costa Mesa, CA. They carry a nice little collection of select new and used vinyl across many genres along with a small mix of vintage audio gear.
